A drug-detection canine’s motion led to the arrest of a 37-year-old Spanish nationwide in Japan after the canine discovered 16 kilograms of marijuana inside the person’s suitcase on September 20.
In a joint assertion on October 11, the Narita Department of Tokyo Customs and the Narita Worldwide Airport Police Station introduced the arrest of the Spanish nationwide, Carlos Rao Quesada, for his try and smuggle marijuana.
In line with Yahoo Japan, the suspect smuggled the marijuana from Bangkok, Thailand. And it was reportedly wrapped in three layers of compressed plastic luggage, most likely to keep away from detection.

The Narita Department of Tokyo Customs revealed that the quantity of marijuana Momotaro detected is the second-highest amongst airline passengers at Narita Worldwide Airport over the previous 20 years, second solely to the 24 kilograms of marijuana seized in September 2023.
